Jodhpur-Jaisalmer NY Trip - OVERVIEW

 So, here goes the unfiltered, raw and straight from the heart feelings regarding the trip I took to Jodhpur and Jaisalmer on the NEW YEAR 2026. 

 

It all started, when I was being talked to regarding my 10th CBSE boards, future choices and all that and my mother suddenly exclaimed, "Oh! Next year Gitansh (my name) would be in 10th and busy in his studies, why don't we go on a trip for the NEW YEAR before that happens." The whole family (including me, obviously) thought that it was a good idea. My father started to research upon different locations to visit, and he stumbled upon Jaisalmer. Since long, we had been yearning to tour Jaisalmer, so that was it, we also added Jodhpur in the itinerary and got into the pre-trip mode of excitement and  shopping. We made god knows how many outings to innumerable outlets in DLF Mall of India, and Gulshan One29 Mall. Being dramatic, we must have earned them a revenue equal to that of one whole off-season week. As we were nearing the departure date for our one-week long NEW YEAR trip (yes, we had drawn our itinerary till then), we disclosed our plans to our relatives and surprisingly, my Uncle and Aunt (Mausaji and Massi to be precise) had planned a similar tour. That was amazing news and we tried to merge the itineraries, which we did successfully. This manifolded the enthusiasm as we could savor each and every moment as a group. Another thrilling experience we planned was that the onward journey was airborne. Although we have travelled numerous times through airplane, it still is a stimulating experience each and every time. Hiya readers, I am back with yet another impeccable and interesting blog on DAY 1 of our  NEW YEAR  trip. We woke up quite early in the morning to see nothing outside of window. It was as if we were living in a cloud . We were so nervous about the flight departure, but we carried on with the routine. As we reached the airport, after numerous cab request denials , we were relieved to know that the flight hadn't been delayed.  We finally breathed a sigh of relief and relaxed for the first time since dawn as we whizzed past the security check. After we had our breakfast, we were on our way to the jam-packed boarding gates. The irony, it was gate number -- 13! As if it were destined to be, our flight was delayed by half an hour. We waited at our laboriously claimed seats, hoping for the flight to be no further delayed. Jodhpur-Jaisalmer NY Trip - DAY 2

Greetings once again! As we stepped into DAY 2 of the trip, the excitement was still very much alive, if anything, it had only grown stronger overnight. For me, the true enjoyment begins on DAY 2 with one particular ritual that I look forward to on every trip, and continue religiously until I (somehow) get bored of it. No, it’s not exploring or traveling around… it’s the hotel breakfast . I genuinely can’t explain the obsession. Maybe it’s the break from the usual, repetitive breakfast at home, or maybe it’s just the irresistible variety and taste, it doesn’t even matter. There’s just something about walking into a buffet, plate in hand, ready to try a bit of everything, that feels like pure happiness. After an absolutely blissful start to Day 2, we were all set to dive into the day’s exploration of the vibrant and bustling town of Jodhpur.
